- Locking a person in a room
- Grabbing the steering wheel while the other person is driving
Abuse can be Social-based including but not limited to:
- Putting down their parenting ability
- Controlling what they do, who they see, where they go
- Making a scene in public
- Using the children to deliver messages
- Change of personality with others
Abuse can be Finanical-based including but not limited to:
- Taking their money
- Not allowing them to have their own bank account
- Keeping finances a secret from them
- Not paying their share of the bills
- Opening credit cards under their name
Abuse can be Physical-based including but not limited to:
- Withholding medication
- Pressuring or tricking into consuming alcohol or drugs
- Standing too close
- Shaking, slapping, punching
- Denying food or drink
Abuse can be Sexual-based including but not limited to:
- Badgering them to have sex
- Accusation of affair
- Treating them as a sex object
- Forcing them to pose for pornographic photos
- Demanding sex for payment
Abuse can be Technology-based including but not limited to:
- Tracking their financial accounts online
- Hiding trackers
- Cutting off / limiting electronic communication
- Sharing private or embarrassing photos / videos online
- Using social networking sites to harass
